To support the vulnerable women and children of the community, the aapa foundation has initiated a women and child welfare program. The plan involves the following activities:
Create and develop a women ‘s group or community to provide support, networking opportunities, and a sense of community, which will serve as a platform to discuss topics related to gender equality, womanhood, empowerment and child care.
An individual and group counselling and assistance in educational and professional development.
Supporting single mothers to become trained, empowered and independent.
Organising and conducting women empowerment workshops. The workshops are aimed to educate and provide training for underprivileged women.
Education: Basic classes in spoken and written English and mathematics.
Training: Classes in Stitching, embroidery, drawing, crochetery, graphic designing, henna paint will provide the skills to access available work or even start their own business.
